Dr Albert GOLDBETER, PhD, is Professor of Theoretical Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Brussels, Belgium). His main research interests pertain to the computational modeling of cellular rhythms. Author or co-author of more than 150 peer-reviewed research articles, Dr. Goldbeter is author of the book “Biochemical Oscillations and Cellular Rhythms” (Cambridge University Press, Cambridge, UK, 1996). After obtaining his PhD at the ULB, Dr. Goldbeter did a postdoctoral stay at the Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel). He held a Visiting Miller Research Professorship at the University of California at Berkeley, and an International Blaise Pascal Research Chair at the University of Paris XI-Orsay. Dr. Goldbeter is member of the Royal Academy of Belgium.
